The steering committee for the preparation for accreditation by the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine considered the issue of forming a strategic development plan until 2030
A meeting of the steering committee for the preparation for accreditation by the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Such meetings have already become traditional in 2024, are held regularly and are focused on the successful completion of European accreditation by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the final stage of which will be the visit of experts scheduled for February 2025.
The first item on the agenda of the meeting, which was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Mykola Tsvilikhovsky on 21 September, was the development of a strategic plan for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Such a plan should be developed in accordance with the requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education for 3 or 5 years. During the discussion and debate, it was decided to prepare a relevant document for a period of 5 years. The latter will be based on the University's strategy and the founding document "`Golosiivska Initiative-2025" and will contain plans that the faculty traditionally prepares every year.
The next item on the agenda was the procurement of materials and equipment for the biosecurity system at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. It was decided to optimise the procurement list and coordinate it with each of the heads of departments of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Other issues discussed during the meeting included the work on the website and the appointment of a person responsible for the English version of materials related to European accreditation. It is planned to update the information on the website in October.
The next meeting of the organising committee for the preparation for accreditation by the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education is scheduled for October.
