Open Day at the Department of Biochemistry named after Academician M.F. Hulyi

On September 28, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine held an open day. As part of this event, the Gulyi Department of Biochemistry hospitably opened its doors to schoolchildren from Boyarka Secondary School No. 1, with whom the department has been maintaining close ties for many years.
Today, the schoolchildren came to us accompanied by a social pedagogue Alla Vovchok.
The program of the meeting included an interesting master class in biochemistry. This event was held in room 412, building 12 of the NUBiP of Ukraine with the participation of the Head of the Department Viktor Tomchuk, professors Larysa Klich, Victoria Gryshchenko, Ihor Kalinin, associate professors Olga Tupytska, Valerii Tsvilikhovsky, assistant Igor Gryshchuk, head of the training laboratory Victoria Prys-Kadenko, and laboratory assistant Lyudmyla Stepanenko. The students performed chemical experiments with interest and learned a lot of interesting information about the methods of determining chemicals.
At the end of the master class, the Head of the Department Viktor Tomchuk familiarized the guests with the opportunities for studying at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the work of preparatory courses and the university Olympiad.
The students also visited the interdepartmental laboratory of veterinary diagnostic research, the Museum of Anatomy of the Department of Vertebrate Biomorphology named after Academician V.G. Kasyanenko and a master class in parasitology of the Department of Veterinary Epidemiology and Animal Health.
