Velykosnytynske Educational and Research Farm named after O.V. Muzychenko
The Separate Subdivision of NUBiP of Ukraine 'O. Muzychenko Velykosnitynske Educational and Research Farm' is a base for the industrial training and practical preparation of specialists in the agricultural sector, where more than 1,500 undergraduate and master's students undertake their educational and industrial placements annually. They participate in the practical mastering of technological processes in agricultural production, gain experience in scientific research, and master modern equipment, technologies, and financial activities in agriculture. Educational, scientific, and industrial laboratories for crop farming and animal husbandry operate at the educational and research farm.
The history of this separate subdivision dates back to the mid-20th century from the merger of three Soviet collective farms: the Kalinin, the Chapayev, and the 1st of May collective farms. In 1960, following the incorporation of the Trylisy fattening station, the Soviet Army state farm was created, which was renamed the 'Velykosnitynskyi' state farm on 10 October 1963. Pursuant to Resolution No. 387 of the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated 2 June 1972, the 'Velykosnitynske' Educational and Research Farm was organised on the basis of the state farm. V. Los was appointed as director.
According to Resolution No. 387 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 1 June 1995 and Order No. 157 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine dated 19 June 1995 'On the Issues of the National Agrarian University', the 'Velykosnitynske' Educational and Research Farm was transferred to the direct subordination of the university. O. V. Muzychenko became the head. Later, by Order No. 124 of the university's rector dated 10 March 2005, the 'Velykosnitynske' Educational and Research Farm was reorganised into a Separate Subdivision of the National Agrarian University. On 1 January 2009, by Order No. 827 of the university's rector dated 15 December 2008, the Separate Subdivision of the National Agrarian University 'Velykosnitynske Educational and Research Farm' was changed to the Separate Subdivision of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, in connection with the renaming of the NAU to NUBiP of Ukraine.
The area of the land fund granted to the farm for permanent use, in accordance with land legislation, as of 01 January 2017, is 2,960 hectares, including 2,787 hectares of agricultural land, of which 2,495 hectares are arable land. The total number of livestock is over 1,300 heads, including 500 cows. The educational and research farm employs 200 people. The position of director is held by M. Zhuravel.
The separate subdivision specialises in the cultivation of grain and industrial crops. It has well-developed animal husbandry and, as a result, a well-developed fodder base. It is a modern farm engaged in industrial activities: the cultivation, processing, and sale of agricultural products, the growing and harvesting of fodder for animal husbandry, and it introduces scientific developments into production across various branches of agriculture. It is one of the leading farms in the Fastiv district. Its activities contribute to the development of the social infrastructure not only of the Fastiv district but also of the Kyiv region.
The educational and research farm continuously implements innovative technical and technological solutions to enhance competitiveness. Extremely relevant for the farm is the search for such innovative solutions that would ensure an increase in production efficiency. Currently, the continuous implementation of the latest developments is a guarantee of the sustainable development of the separate subdivision.
AREAS OF ACTIVITY

creating the necessary conditions for conducting students' educational and practical placements, carrying out the practical training of students according to the profile of their chosen speciality, and improving the qualifications of specialists in accordance with the curricula and programmes of NUBiP of Ukraine;

creating the necessary conditions for conducting scientific research work by academic and research staff, doctoral candidates, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students, and implementing scientific developments into production;

creating modern material, technical, and social bases for students' education, as well as for the scientific research and scientific-innovative activities of the academic and research staff of NUBiP of Ukraine;

cultivation and sale of agricultural products;

production of elite seed crop products and pedigree livestock, development of new technologies, creation of promising varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops, breeds, and lines of livestock, and their sale on the basis of agreements with agricultural enterprises of various forms of ownership and management methods, as well as with other consumers;

processing of products of own production and their sale;

implementation of measures regarding environmental protection and the rational use of natural resources;

manufacture and sale of consumer goods;

provision of services, execution of works, and carrying out non-commercial activities aimed at achieving economic, social, and other results without the aim of making a profit.
