Welcome to the NULES' world of nature

On May 27, 2024, the department of English for technical and agrobiological specialties held a joint event with students of the international Lyceum "IAPM" in the Botanical garden of NULES of Ukraine.

First-year students under the guidance of their foreign language teacher, candidate of philological Sciences Tetyana Luhova conducted an unforgettable tour in English of the Botanical garden for Lyceum students of the 3rd grade.

Starting their tour from the NULES Walk of Fame of Ukraine, the university students prepared an exciting journey for Lyceum students and took the children to the most interesting locations, commenting and telling them about each of them in English. 

Among them, Eco-classes, the Ornithologist's path, Feeders, the NULES Walk of Fame of Ukraine, the Alley of Muses, the central fountain, magnificent sculptures of mammoths, dinosaurs, and wild animals were particularly admired. 

Children were very interested in information stands with animals and plants listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

And the students were able not only to convey information to children, but also prepared many interesting facts about the peculiarities of the coexistence of animals, insects and plants in the ecosystem of Ukraine. In addition, our students introduced pupils to some of the highlights of their specialty in an accessible and interesting way – and many of the children "lit up" to study in the future at the NULES of Ukraine.

Lyceum students were so impressed by the beauty of the Botanical garden and the richness of its plant world that they literally "bombarded" university students with questions and their genuine childish emotions! Moreover, during the entire tour, communication took place exclusively in English – this was the condition for holding this wonderful event!

At the end of the tour, everyone exchanged impressions, emotions and took photos by heart.

Our students and Lyceum students became so friendly that they agreed to hold such interesting English-language events as often as possible!
