Five reasons to apply NULES in the opinion of the Vice-Rector for Educational Activities Serhii Kvasha
One of the main advantages of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine for intended applicants is its omnitude, as the training of specialists is performed in 19 fields of study.
Such point of view has been offered by the Vice-Rector for Educational Activities Serhii Kvasha on the airwaves of ATR TV channel.
"Agriculture is the leading sector of Ukraine’s economy, and undoubtedly it opens a lot of great prospects for young people. It is quietly important to understand what kind of mission will be selected by our students for their future: whether they want to be hired or they have passion to start their own business. Depending on the mission, the spectrum of knowledge obtained by the students has been developed. If our student has a goal to start farming, firstly he has to obtain the key aspects of doing business. In this case the university aimed to train a specialist who is capable of running his personal business", - said Mr. Kvasha.
The second important advantage of NULES in comparison with other universities of Ukraine is rich laboratory facilities, as our students have the opportunity to acquire knowledge not only theoretically, but practically, carrying out various researches. The students are able to “feel the biological processes” by their own, regarding university has in its disposal more than 400 laboratories of different purposes. As a result, 80% of alumnus in popular areas receive the employment invitations during their studies.
Also, the vice-rector emphasized that NULES is very active in international affairs, cooperates with many universities from Europe, Asia and the USA. Currently, the university trains young people from the United States, Great Britain, Poland, Czech Republic, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, China and many African countries. Foreign students make their choice focusing on cost-quality indicator.
"We are proud of 25 years’ relationship with the University of Pennsylvania, we are actively collaborating with the University of Iowa and many European Union universities," - said Sergey Kvasha.
NULES is one the most prominent higher educational establishment in its field through the scientific researches. In 2018, the university completed 53 scientific projects commissioned by The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Elnara Abdullaieva as Animal Biology Department teaching fellow (Livestock Rising and Water Bioresources Faculty) has summarized in conditions of violation of Ukraine territorial integrity and occupation of Crimea, training of specialists in the field of agriculture is pivotally important in the framework of long-term strategic planning.
“Nowadays, there is a dire state of agriculture in Crimea. It is primarily due to the lack of water, fertilizers, feed and machinery. We still do not give up hope occupied territories will be recommitted and our first task is to train highly skilled personnel who will be able to revive Crimea and Donbass. We appeal the young people to apply NULES and engage their professional activities with farsighted future”, - said Mrs. Abdullaieva.
