Land management students are undergoing an international internship at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (Mugla, Turkey)

From November 18 till November 30, 2019 Senior Lecturer of the Department of Geodesy and Cartography, Bogdana Yarova, was undergoing an international internship at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. During this time, she delivered several lectures, got acquainted with the peculiarities of the educational process and training of PhD students, and attended seminars and lectures held by local teachers. Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University has varied material and technical resources. The university laboratories are very well-equipped, which allows to examine everything from drinking water, soil, honey, air to sewage. The laboratories are also engaged in the development of perfumes and planting and selling the trees that can grow truffle mushrooms in seven years.

The laboratory services are open for everyone. Compared to private laboratories, the cost of services is much cheaper and it is possible to analyze not only resources (soils, water, air), but also agricultural products.

As for the educational process, it is mostly focused on independent studying of the material, as well as getting some advice from the teachers. Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University is very popular among international students not only from Asia, but also from Europe. Students have the opportunity to study and work on modern equipment and to undergo internships abroad.

In 2020, teachers and students from Turkey are going to visit NUBiP of Ukraine to attend conferences, which will be held at the Faculty of Land Management. International exchange programs allow to maintain close contacts between scientists, which will later serve as the basis for common scientific developments.
