Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language: Poetry is always unique, an immortal touch to the soul
On November 7, 2019, our University hosted an event for the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language. The holiday was held in the form of a flash mob. The initiators and organizers of the event were Anastasia Vasylevska, 2 year student, deputy chairman of the SO of the Law Faculty and coordinator of the Law Clinic of NULES of Ukraine "Protection and Justice", Hennadiy Rzhevskyi - director of the TSC on educational work and social development, Mykola Kucheriavyi – 4 year student of the TSI of forestry and landscape gardening, student mayor of Kyiv.
The celebration took place at the Walk of Fame. The tribune for reciting poems was the "stone of poetry". Hennadiy Rzhevskyi started the event. He emphasized the importance of poetry in the modern world. Poems need to be able to read; they help a person in a difficult moment of life, and this should not be forgotten. Flash mob can be considered a traditional event in students' lives. It is a platform for talented students, those who write poetry, those who are in love with poetry. Students eagerly recited poems of their own and well-known Ukrainian poets.
The students of the first year of the Faculty of Law Bohdan Ehorov, Alina Volodina, the student of the first year of the Faculty of Design and Design Victor Kyrylyuk, the student-journalist of the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics Olena Borova read their poems. The first-year students of Journalism specialty Vitalina Kantselyarenko, Valentyna Syvkiv, Dariya Radchuk and others recited poems of Ukrainian poets. It seems that every poetic word has fallen into the soul, excited everyone, stirred up certain emotions and feelings.
Before sharing lyric lines with the audience, students told the story of their creation, “I started writing poetry in the first grade. They were induced by different situations, even by doing homework. Sometimes it doesn't work to create a poem at once, so this process takes me a lot longer. I think that it is worth it, because while reaching certain heights in life, inspiration comes to each of us, and we can create poetry, ”said Victor Kyrylyuk.
"Poetry has been present in my life since I was 12 years old. Previously, I did not share my work with anyone, but our University gave impetus to discover the talents. I was able to overcome my fear and share my inner experiences in the form of rhymed strings,” said Olena Borova. The young author presented her poem entitled "Heavenly Hundred", which particularly touched the listeners.
I read a few lines
About those heroes from the Maidan.
There was no strength to hold the tears ...
How many innocents were killed!
There was smoke stirring, the color of the sky,
Tires and hearts were burning.
The armored personnel carrier was launched on people
And they were not afraid of the Creator.
Waves launched from the attacks,
Where are the snipers, where are the water cannons,
There were grenade gifts,
There were burning tents.
Heroes slept with shields.
They went to battle with them.
On the chest with the crosses of God
And with an arsenal of free dreams.
And on the Maidan not for the money,
And not for the pernicious law,
They stood there for good days,
For them, they fell into eternal sleep.
They shouted: - "Barricades are called,
Someone must go for freedom. "
And millions of them in the trail sobbed:
- "Sons come to the Lord"
... Parents of children are unloved
Someone didn't wait for his brother.
Someone's love was killed there,
And someone's crying, Daddy's calling.
And he did not come to the family,
He will not hug his child,
Won’t smile at his wife,
And she won't meet him, his mother ...
He is now where God's children are,
Where there are the unruly soldiers.
They learned - the truth is one:
A breath of freedom can kill.
Anastasia Vasylevska, one of the organizers of the flash mob, also writes lyric poetry. She dared share poetic lines:
I am for world peace,
Let there be no war,
To make happy children grow,
To have their parents.
Let the sun shine clearly,
Peace be heaven,
To all the nations of the world
The world was valued above all.
Do not shoot cities,
And the guns do not hum
Keep everyone fun,
Peace will come here and here!
Peace is important to me
In this difficult, hard time.
May peace be for all,
Because our peace will save us.
Alina Volodina fascinated everyone who joined the event with her poem.
Don't go back where you went.
There is nothing more there.
And even if they were loved,
Remember, love is not over ...
If you are left alone,
Understand, this was a lesson for you.
No matter how long the thoughts remain,
Calm down. Take one step.
Find a little miracle,
Which will make you go further.
Pretty soon, maybe
We will have to find the same ...
Serhiy Kvasha, the first vice-rector for educational work, could not pass the holiday for the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language. He was pleased that students did not neglect their literary heritage and replenished its treasury with their poems.
The poetry festival was extremely bright, impressing all the listeners. We are grateful so much to the organizers of the flash mob for the holiday of the soul!
