International science communication by American researchers
In 2017, Rector Stanislav Nikolaenko paid a working visit to Pennsylvania State University (USA) and invited food safety professionals to visit NUBiP of Ukraine and to conduct “Food Safety short course”, which would cover theoretical and practical basics of food safety and its microbiological parameters.
This cooperation continues for two years with the support of Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, International Activity and Development, Vadym Tkachuk, and Head of the ERC for International Activity, Olexander Labenko.

Every science has its aims, subjects and object of research, complex of research methods, its own conceptual apparatus. It aims at creation, acquisition, accumulation and dissemination of scientific and scientific-pedagogical information. Therefore, science communication is the basic mechanism for the science’s functioning and development.
The training on “Research Methods” aiming at improving activities in the field of science communication was held as a part of cooperation between NUBiP of Ukraine and PennState University (USA) at NUBiP of Ukraine on September 23-27, 2019.
The participants had the opportunity to listen to a lecture course, as well as to prepare scientific projects in the field of international science communication, while improving their English. On the last day of the training, scientific projects were presented and discussed. Associate Professor of the Faculty of Food Technology and Quality Control of Agricultural Products Nataliya Silonova and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Food Technology and Quality Control of Agricultural Products Yulia Kryzhova presented a scientific project on food safety risk management.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to Professor Ramaswamy C.
