The Department of Military Training hospitably opens its doors

Today, in the context of ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, the problems of increasing the professionalism and competence of specialists in the military education system, capable of acting in various types of modern armed struggle, are pressing. The activities of the Department of Military Training, one of the main structural divisions of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, are also devoted to solving these issues.

On October 8, the Department of Military Training hospitably opened its doors to all those who want to get acquainted with military affairs. Among the guests there were students of the journalism specialty to find out what the military training department is like today.

The Department dates back to 1926, when a military leader was appointed to the staff of the Kyiv Veterinary and Zootechnical Institute by the order of the Military Educational Institutions. The department has a strong scientific potential – these are highly qualified specialists, among whom there are participants of military actions. In order to accomplish these tasks, the department conducts educational and methodical work, as well as scientific and scientific-technical activities.

The Department of Military Training has a strong educational base, including shooting range, computer classes, tactile, firing and technical training rooms, maintenance and repair center, field veterinary laboratory, library, construction site, all training facilities equipped with multimodal facilities.

According to the results of the activity and the available educational and material base, it is one of the most powerful military departments of civilian higher education institutions in Ukraine.

To date, the Department of Military Training trains officers of the department – veterinary specialists for the Armed Forces and other security forces of Ukraine; reserve officers – in six military accounting specialties. It is attended by about 700 students from different higher education institutions of Ukraine. More and more students are appearing at the department.

At the Department of Military Training, young people study military affairs, temper themselves physically and morally, they are ready to defend at any moment. Moreover, there are mainly students who really want to get an officer's degree together with a diploma of higher education, which empowers young professionals to choose their profession.
