ICA Rectors and Deans Forum 2018 in the Netherlands

     ICA Rectors and Deans Forum 2018 was held at Wageningen University and Research on October 24-26, 2018.

    More than 60 participants from all over Europe took part in the forum. The focus of the meeting was to discuss the urgent issues and challenges in the field of food security, the use of high technology, precision agriculture, processing and storage of products, etc.
     The key topic of the forum was High Tech to Feed the World Sustainably: Innovation from Spade to Fork.

     Rector Magnificus of Wageningen University and Research, Arthur Mol, gave the opening speech. Wageningen University and Research is ranked number one among life science universities in the world. University's budget amounts to 615 million euros, half of which is spent on science and research. Wageningen University and Research has almost doubled the number of students over the last ten years, and primarily due to the introduction of an effective strategy for internationalization. NUBiP of Ukraine was represented by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, International Activities and Development, Vadym Tkachuk, who is a member of the ICA Council.
