European week of quality in Ukraine

  On November 10, 2011 at National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine the scientific and practical conference “Out-and-out improvement for revival of Ukraine” was held in the framework of XXth anniversary International Forum “Days of quality in Kiev-2011”.
The event was opened by Deputy of Ukraine, Adviser to the President of Ukraine A.K. Kinakh. Rector of NUBiP of Ukraine, Academician D.O. Melnychuk, Head of Department of Integration of the Institute of Innovative Technologies and educational content Y.V. Suharnikov and President of Ukrainian Quality Association, a member of the General Assembly of the European Organization for Quality P. Y. Kalita were talking to participants.
    Awarding ceremony of 16th Ukrainian National Competition of Quality was held. For the first time in its history the title of laureate received State higher educational establishment - National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.

   National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine took part in 16th Ukrainian National Competition of Quality that was organized by Ukrainian Quality Association and Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The competition is supported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the European Organization for Quality.
   During 16 years the best companies of Ukraine compete for recognition of business excellence. Among the winners of past years there are such companies as OJSC "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog," Subsidiary "Illichivsk Sea Commercial Port" Main Department of Civil Service of Ukraine, JSC "Obolon", LLC "Tulchynka" and National Aviation University.
   Ukrainian National Competition of Quality based on model of excellence of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), which defines excellence as the best practice management of the organization and achieving results based on a set of fundamental concepts. Among the latter - result-oriented, focus on consumers, leadership and consistency of purpose, management by processes and facts, staff involvement, continuous improvement and innovation, mutually beneficial partnerships and corporate social responsibility.
