Deepening Cooperation with the Hannover University of Veterinary Medicine (Germany)

     A delegation of the Hannover University of Veterinary Medicine, headed by its President Professor Gerhard Greif, visited our University.

     This partner-University is one of five in Germany, and the only one that remains independent. It has about 2,400 students, most of them studying veterinary science, and more than a thousand instructors working there. There are clinics at the University that are serving almost 50,000 patients a year.

     A President of the State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety of Lower Saxony (LAVES, Germany) Professor Eberhard Haunhorst also arrived to our University. He has already repeatedly lectured in NULES walls.

     The dignitaries met with the rector Stanislav Nikolaenko, with whom they discussed the ways of combining efforts in research, implementation of students and instructors’ exchanges.

     The meetings of two round tables devoted to topical contemporary problems of the area were held with the participation of Professors Greif and Haunhorst, our scientists and instructors at the department of veterinary medicine.
