Faculty members of the Department of Global Economics and student club members participated in a seminar on the application of artificial intelligence in various economic sectors

On September 18–19, 2024, Doctor of Economics, Professor Nataliya Vdovenko, Head of the Department of Global Economics at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, along with members of the scientific group 'Globalization and European Integration,' participated in an online seminar on the use of artificial intelligence in the aquacultugrare sector. The seminar was held in Antalya, Turkey, under the auspices of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean.

The seminar titled 'Artificial Intelligence and Robotics: Advancing Sustainable Innovations in Aquaculture' demonstrated how AI-based technologies can enhance aquaculture practices, improve production methods, and contribute to global food security.
Participants were able to join from all regions of the world.
The seminar was primarily aimed at:
• Aquaculture management practitioners.
• Researchers in aquaculture and AI technologies.
• Environmental sustainability experts.
• Policymakers and government officials involved in fisheries and aquaculture.
• Technology providers specializing in AI and robotics for aquaculture.
• NGOs and international organizations focused on sustainable fisheries and food security.
In line with the GFCM Strategy towards 2030, this seminar provided insights into the development of a sustainable aquaculture sector capable of meeting growing global demands while promoting environmental stewardship.
