On May 9, 2024, an open lecture on the discipline “Physiology of Farm Animals” for 1st year students of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Aquatic Bioresources (specialty: 204 Technology of production and processing of livestock products, Bachelor's degree) on the topic: “Blood-internal environment of the body” was read by the senior lecturer of the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology of Animals named after Academician M.F. Gulyi Zhurenko V.V.
The lecture was held within the framework of the plan, the material was presented in an accessible and consistent manner, new terms and concepts were explained, and was characterized by a clear structure, logic, accessibility and reasoning.
The lecture was attended by representatives of the department and the FVM responsible for quality control, PhD in Veterinary Medicine, Associate Professor Natalia Boyko.
Natalia announced the beginning of the lecture and the need to fill out the lecture evaluation forms at the end.The following issues were covered: blood functions; blood quantity; physicochemical properties of blood; red blood cells, their physiological significance; hemoglobin, its structure, significance, and compounds.
At the end of the lecture, the faculty and students conducted an anonymous survey to assess the quality of the lecture.
The lecture was delivered at a high level with the use of modern methods and technical means and was positively evaluated by both staff and students of the faculty.
