Vice-Rector for Academic and Scientific Activities, Legal and Social Issues of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Juridical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Higher Education Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honoured Lawyer of Ukraine

Volodymyr I. Kurylo was born on November 10, 1961 in Yabluniv village, Kaniv district, Cherkasy region.

In 1979 he finished education at Mezhyrichchya school of Kaniv district, Cherkasy region.

In 1979-1981 he did military service in the Navy of the USSR.

In 1986 Volodymyr Kurylo graduated from the Economic Faculty of the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy (now the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine) and in 1994 he graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Internal Affairs (now the National Academy of Internal Affairs).

For a long time he served in the organizations for internal affairs of Ukraine.

In 2000-2001 he was the Head of the Security Department of RAIS Company and the Head of Veteran-K Legal Centre.

In 1996-2001 Volodymyr Kurylo was an assistant and a senior lecturer at the Department of Agrarian Law of the National Agrarian University (NAU) (in 1999 it was renamed into the Department of Law).

In 2001-2003 he worked as a senior lecturer at the Department of Constitutional, Administrative and Financial Law and a vice-dean for educational and scientific activities of the Faculty of Law.

In 2003-2010 he headed the Faculty of Law and the Department of Constitutional, Administrative and Financial Law of NAU (from 2008 – NULES of Ukraine).

In 2010-2014 he worked as the Head of the Education and Research Institute of Land Resources and Law, Head of the Department of Administrative and Financial Law of NULES of Ukraine.

On July 3, 2014 Volodymyr Kurylo was appointed as the Vice-Rector for Academic and Scientific Activities, Legal and Social Issues of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.

From 2007 till 2010 he worked as an academician secretary of the Department of Law of the Higher Education Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (volunteer).

From 2010 till present he performed the duties of the Vice-President of the Higher Education Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (volunteer). From 2008 Volodymyr Kurylo works as an arbitrator.

2003 – the Candidate of Juridical Sciences.
2004 – Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative and Financial Law.
2005 – Academician of the Higher School Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2009 – the Higher Education Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).
2005 – Academician of the International Academy of Personnel.
2007 – obtained Certificate on Excellence in Education of Ukraine.
2008 – Doctor of Juridical Sciences.
2008 – Professor of the Department of Administrative Law.
2009 – Honorary Professor of Zaporizhzhya National University.
2011 – Honoured Lawyer of Ukraine.
2011 – Winner of Yaroslav the Wise Prize.

Volodymyr Kurylo has numerous state and departmental awards of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and science of Ukraine, academic awards of national, international and foreign military and law organizations. He is Colonel of Justice in reserve.

Volodymyr Kurylo is the head and member of several scientific journals on legal issues and land management. He is a well-known national scientist and the author (co-author) of more than 250 scientific papers, including 13 monographs, 8 books, and 19 textbooks. He was the scientific supervisor of 45 candidates of juridical sciences and 3 doctors of juridical sciences.

Volodymyr Kurylo is married, has two daughters and two grandchildren.
