Cooperation with Texas Tech University

On August 18, the scientist of Texas Tech University, Ronald Chester, who heads the Centre for the Study of Radiological Pollution, and the General Director of the State Research Institution “Chernobyl Centre for Nuclear Safety, Radioactive Waste and Radioecology”, Mykhailo Bondarkov, visited NULES of Ukraine.

During the meeting with the Acting Head of the University, Stanislav Nikolayenko, Mr Ronald Chester on the behalf of Texas Tech University expressed the hope for cooperation. The participants of the meeting discussed student and teacher exchange programmes and joint research. It was agreed that within a few days the areas and topics for possible cooperation will be adopted and a draft agreement on cooperation between the two institutions will be prepared.
