ERASMUS + MOBILITY PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS
ERASMUS+ - is the European Union Programme for 2014-2020 to support projects, partnerships, events and mobility in the areas of education, training, youth and sport.
SOME FIGURES
Opportunities for individuals:
- The two million students of universities will learn and undergo training abroad;
- 200,000 students of Master will use advantage of the new scheme to guarantee loans and will receive more than 25,000 scholarships for joint Master's study programs;
- 500 000 young people will work as volunteers abroad and will take part in youth exchanges;
- 800 000 teachers, coaches, educationalists and workers in the field of youth policy will teach or conduct trainings abroad.
The main objectives of higher education
- Improving the skills and employability of students and to promote the competitiveness of the European economy;
- Improving the quality of teaching and learning;
- Implementation Strategy to modernize higher education in the the participating countries of the program and capacity building of partner countries;
- Strengthening the international dimension in Erasmus +;
- Support of the Bologna process and the policy dialogue with strategic partner countries.
Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of students and staff
Objectives for students:
Provide more and better opportunities to develop skills and competencies students, attract the best talent from abroad
Main activities in the direction:
- Credit mobility, including training abroad: mobility for students is open to partner countries in both directions;
- Step mobility: exemplary joint masters programs offered by universities in Europe and, in some cases, the partner countries that attract the best students from around the world;
- Guarantees of student loans: increased mobility of Master students in Europe (only for the EU)
Objectives for teachers:
Provide more and better opportunities to improve the quality of teaching and learning
Main activities in the direction:
- Teaching (business trip of teachers): development of innovative teaching methods, open the mobility to partner countries in both directions;
- Professional development: improving the skills and competencies of teaching staff and administrative staff, is open to partner countries in both directions;
- Invite employees of enterprises, to improve the relevance of training programs.
