The department's academic staff specialise in teaching disciplines on livestock production and processing technologies and conducting research on cattle breeding issues. The department staff includes 2 doctors of sciences, professors: A.M. Ugnivenko, V.I. Kostenko; 3 candidates of agricultural sciences, associate professors: I.P. Chumachenko, T.A. Antoniuk, D.K. Nosevych; Doctor of Philosophy, Senior Lecturer M.A. Matvieiev, Heads of laboratories A.O. Tokar and A.P. Taradaiko, Senior laboratory assistant Y.I. Tokar and laboratory assistant G.M. The department staff delivers courses in Ukrainian for Bachelor's and Master's students at the Faculties of Livestock Production and Water Bioresources, Mechanical and Technological Engineering, and Design and Engineering. Additionally, courses are provided in English for students at the Faculties of Agricultural Management and Economic faculty.
