Delegation from the United States of America arrived in NUBiP: day two

Today's visit of the delegation from the United States of America to the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine began with a lecture by its members for students of the faculties of agricultural management and information technology. Representatives of the non-profit corporation AI for Good Foundation of James HODSON and Afina Cultivian Holdings LLC David GODFREY-THOMAS conducted it within the framework of the author's module «Strategic leadership» of the course «Introduction to the specialty» by professor of the department of administrative management and foreign economic activity Vitaliy SKOTSYK. The topic that the guests suggested aroused considerable interest among our students, as evidenced by numerous questions.

The program of the day, which also included acquaintance with the faculties and their educational and scientific laboratories, began with a visit to the NUBIP Botanical Garden, the department of botany, dendrology and forest breeding.

Then there were the locations of the faculty of animal husbandry and aquatic bioresources with its laboratories of zootechnical analysis of feed and feed additives, horse breeding, and the Center for aquatic bioresources and aquaculture named after V. M. Kondratyuk, Holosiivska educational and experimental apiary.

The faculty of agrobiology presented the soil museum, laboratories of unmanned technologies, and differentiated use of agrochemical resources.

Faculty of plant protection, biotechnology and ecology — laboratory of biotechnology and cell engineering.

The faculty of information technologies showed the guests its laboratories — «Artificial intelligence technologies», embedded systems and the Internet of things, cyber polygon.

The faculty of veterinary medicine showed the Center for animal reproductology with a sperm and embryo bank, the animal blood bank, the museum of anatomy, and the laboratory of veterinary and diagnostic research.

A memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed tomorrow, which provides for the intention to cooperate on the creation of the Center for excellence in life sciences, agriculture and biogeniality «CE-LAB». This center aims to become the world's leading Center for researchers, scientists, innovators, farmers, entrepreneurs, financiers and educators to develop and implement agro-food technologies and biogeniality necessary for the environment and human health within the financially secure system of agriculture, bioenergy and bioeconomics.
