Vasyl’ Petrovych Martynenko – Doctor of Economics, Professor

The Department of Finance was established in 1993 to prepare specialists in a field of Finance for agrarian sector of Agroindustrial Complex (AIC).

The first Head of the Department was Petro T. Sabluk – Director of the Institute of Agrarian Economy, Academician of UAAS, Doctor of Economics, Professor. He is an eminent scientist in a field of AIC Economy, Finance, Accounting and Business Analysis of agricultural enterprises.

From 1994 the Head of Department was the Deputy Director of the Institute of Agrarian Economy, Corresponding Member of UAAS, Doctor of Economics, Professor M.Y. Dem’yanenko. From 2000 the Head of Department was O. M. Karasyk – Ph.D in Economics, Associate Professor – Financial Management Specialist in a field of AIC.

In 2007 the Department of Banking and Land Mortgage (founded in August 1998) was joined to the Department of Finance. In September 2007 the Head of new Department became V. P. Martynenko – Doctor of Economics, Professor. The area of his scientific interests is made up of the issues of taxation and strategic development of entities, financial readjustment of AIC enterprises.

There are 2 Full Professors, 1 Doctor of Sciences, 13 Associate Professors, 2 Senior Lecturers and 8 Assistants currently working at the Department. Besides there are post-graduate studies with 4 post-graduate students within it.

Besides educational process scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department is involved in scientific research on the problems of financial and credit relations in AIC, takes part in different normative legal documents preparation, including laws.
