Department is created in 1954

Long time on a department the known scientist worked doctor of economic sciences, professor Virnik D.F., which prepared over 100 candidates and 8 doctors of economic sciences.

Scientific developments of department are devoted the problems of the effective functioning of agrarian market and forming of food safety of Ukraine. In the last few years the employees of department are publish 5 monographs, 95 scientific articles, 6 train aids, 29 methodical developments.

Educational work is conducted with the use of the innovative controlled from distance technologies. Electronic educational courses are developed for master's «Degree» and «Bachelor» from disciplines the «Modern economic theories», «Economic theory», «Microeconomics», «Macroeconomics».

List of disciplines

On an economic faculty and faculty of agrarian management the followings disciplines are laid out:

· «Political economy»

· «Economic theory»

· «Microeconomics»

· «Macroeconomics»

· «History of economy and economic idea»

on other faculties are «Bases of economic theory».

Educational work

Department takes part in preparation of master's degrees after specialities:

«Administrative management», «Government service», «Economic cybernetics», «Energy of agricultural production».

On a department normative disciplines are laid out after all of directions of preparation of bachelors in an university.

An educational process is provided with the programs, methodical developments, textbooks and manuals on all of disciplines which are laid out on a department.

Scientific and innovation work, research

Presently the collective of department works above the followings scientific problems: development of basic directions of forming and effective functioning of agrarian market of Ukraine, development of strategy of forming of the system of food safety of Ukraine and determination of its indicators. In this time 2 graduate students of eye and extra-mural forms of studies study on a department.

On a department work 3 scientific student groups, work of which is directed on the increase of theoretical preparation of students by participating of students in scientific conferences, preparation of the scientific articles.

A department actively co-operates with other scientific and educational establishments, in particular:

· National university of T.G. Shevchenko

· National economic university

· State university of informatively communication technologies

· National scientific center «Institute of agrarian economy» of UAAN in relation to the improvement of the scientific and educational work.
