At the Technical University of Munich, Prof. [Andriy Bilous] made a report on the impact of the war on the forests of Ukraine
The study of forest losses as a result of the invasion and military aggression of the russian occupation forces is one of the key tasks for a comprehensive assessment of the damage caused to Ukraine as a result of the war. This is not an easy task to investigate using remote sensing methods in the framework of scientific work of the department of forest taxation and forest management of NUBiP of Ukraine in cooperation with research institutions of European countries and the USA.

As part of the ERASMUS+ Program, Professor Andriy Bilous, head of the department of forest taxation and forest management, made a scientific report for the forestry community of the Technical University of Munich on the impact of war on the forests of Ukraine.
During the discussion and debate of the scientific report, scientists focused on the need to develop methods and technologies for forest restoration, taking into account rapid climate changes in Ukraine, as well as forecasting future potential violations and risks of their occurrence.
