NUBiP of Ukraine at the International conference «Effective management of agricultural companies» LFM 2026

On September 8, at the initiative of the Ukrainian club of agricultural business (UCAB), the XVII International conference «Effective management of agricultural companies» (LFM 2026), which brought together the heads of leading agricultural companies, representatives of the public sector, investors, experts, innovators and the scientific and educational community, was held in Kyiv. The event was attended by the rector of NUBiP of Ukraine Vadym TKACHUK, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and development Serhiy KVASHA, dean of the faculty of agricultural management in 2015-2025 Anatoly OSTAPCHUK and head of the department of administrative management and foreign economic activity Olena KOVTUN. The event was opened and moderated by UCAB president Alex LISSITSA.

This year's conference was held under the slogan «Shock therapy for change: from a system crisis to a new business architecture». Its participants focused on key challenges and transformations that would determine the future of Ukrainian agricultural business: sustainability of agricultural companies, transformation of business models, automation of production processes, use of artificial intelligence, human capital development, logistics and European integration of the Ukrainian agricultural sector.

One of the central themes of LFM 2026 was the digital transformation of agribusiness and the introduction of artificial intelligence. The conference discussed the prospects for automating agronomic and logistics processes, changing the role of specialists in modern agricultural production, as well as the possibility of using generative artificial intelligence in management and education.

The participants paid special attention to the issue of interaction between business and universities. During the discussion «The death of academism: are universities losing the war for knowledge to personal AI-mentors?» representatives of the educational and business community discussed the compliance of university educational programs with the needs of modern high-tech agribusiness, the role of the diploma and applied competencies in the employment of young professionals, as well as models for integrating generative AI into the educational process.

For NUBiP of Ukraine, participation in LFM is an important opportunity for direct dialogue with employers, managers of agricultural companies and industry experts, exchange of experience and taking into account current trends in agribusiness in the development of educational programs and the formation of competencies of future specialists.

In general, LFM is traditionally one of the leading platforms for professional communication of the agricultural business community. In 2026, the conference brought together more than 280 experts and included more than 60 professional discussions, and over 16 years, LFM has become a platform for sharing experience, strategic planning and developing a vision for the future of Ukrainian agribusiness.
