Postgraduates of NUBiP of Ukraine will receive academic scholarships of the President of Ukraine in the 2025-2026 academic year

Ministry of education and science of Ukraine identified graduate students who will receive academic scholarships of the President of Ukraine in the 2025-2026 academic year (order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of 19.11.2025 No. 1526 «On awarding academic scholarships of the President of Ukraine to postgraduates for the 2025-2026 academic year»).


The academic scholarship of the President of Ukraine is one of the most prestigious forms of support for young postgraduates in Ukraine. It is aimed at applicants who have outstanding scientific or educational achievements, and is intended to stimulate their activities and motivate them to achieve high results.


Scholarships are awarded in accordance with the current decisions of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, their amount is UAH 23,700 per month. In total, 50 scholarships are provided, of which 34 are for postgraduates of higher educational institutions related to the management of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.


This year, universities subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine received 65 applications. After reviewing the documents, the board of the Ministry of Education and Science recommended 29 graduate students which demonstrated the most significant scientific results.


Main criteria for awarding academic scholarships of the President of Ukraine to postgraduates:

  • publications in scientific publications included in Category "A" of the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine and in publications indexed in the International scientometric databases Web of Science Core Collection and/or Scopus;

  • articles in scientific publications included in Category "B" of the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine;

  • popular science materials and digital scientific content in the public domain (with DOI or permanent URL);

  • participation in scientific projects funded by the results of national or international competitions, where the graduate student is a research supervisor or performer;

  • patent applications (invention or utility model);

  • applications have been submitted for funding scientific research in which the applicant acts as a supervisor;

  • participation in international academic mobility programs (lasting at least three months);

  • participation in the creation of startups or innovative projects implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Innovation Development Fund, the EU or other governments;

  • management of a school student who won a prize: at the III-IV stages of all-Ukrainian student Olympiads in basic academic subjects; at the II-III stages of all-Ukrainian competitions defenses of research papers of students members of the small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;

  • management of a permanent student scientific circle or section that operates on the basis of a higher education institution and conducts regular scientific work with students.


From 29 graduate students who by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science were appointed academic scholarships of the President of Ukraine for the 2025-2026 academic year, two are from NUBiP of Ukraine graduate student of the educational and scientific Institute of forestry and park gardening of the third year of full-time (full-time) education in the specialty "Forestry" ODRUZHENKO Andriy and a graduate student of the faculty of plant protection, biotechnology and ecology third year full-time training in the specialty «Plant protection and quarantine» HUSEVA Anastasia.


Main research interests of Andriy ODRUZHENKO focus on using remote sensing data to determine the area of disturbed forests as a result of the war in eastern and southern Ukraine. His research is aimed at identifying the area and extent of disturbed forest ecosystems and field protection stands during the full-scale invasion of the occupying russian armed forces (2022-2025) and the impact of military operations, in particular shelling and forest fires.


Andriy ODRUZHENKO collaborates with scientists of the Space Research Institute of NAS of Ukraine. As part of this interaction, he was the executor of the research work «Research of approaches to forest mapping based on geospatial information» under the agreement «Satellites for Wilderness Inspection and Forest Threat Tracking».


Research interests of Anastasia HUSEVA are related to the study of species composition, ecology and dynamics of populations of phytoparasitic nematodes in phytoremediation systems of degraded land in the deoccupied territories of the Kyiv region. The research of the graduate student is used within the framework of the international project NATO SPS MYP G6094 «Mitigation of climate change through advanced phytotechnology for military lands».


Anastasia HUSEVA completed her internship in the Institute of horticulture in the city of Skernevice (Poland) within the framework of the academic mobility program between the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and the Polish Institute of horticulture in Skernevice.
