Scientific dialogue between doctors and journalists

On February 22-23, 2023 in Lviv  All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference with international participation "Linguoecology: the language of Medicine" took place. Its organizers – Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University, Ukrainian Medical Society in Lviv, Shevchenko scientific society. This scientific forum is included in the"Register of congresses, symposia, congresses and scientific and practical recommendations that will be held in 2023" by the Ministry of health of Ukraine and the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Participants of the event are 120 scientists (30 doctors, 70 candidates of Sciences).

 

The topic of the conference is quite wide – from medical issues proper to polygraphic cultural issues. It is important that the scientific discourse and constructive discussion combine the medical and linguistic spheres. Many topical issues related to the codification of medical terms and categories are raised, and the exclusive role of codification dynamics in the projection for their perspective is given.

 

Professors of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine joined the respected scientific society: Maryna Navalna and Mykola Stepanenko - professors of the department of journalism and language communication, Maria Lychuk - head of the department of Romance and Germanic languages and translation.

 

Maria Ivanovna described the peculiarities of the formation of clinical veterinary terms, Marina Ivanovna highlighted the actualization of medical vocabulary in the language of modern Ukrainian mass media, Mykola Ivanovich carefully analyzed the most important changes that covered the lexical-semantic, phraseological, word-forming, grammatical system of the Ukrainian language in the era of the coronavirus era.

 

    

The conference was followed by student journalists who received specific tasks. They will report on their implementation in practical classes. A collection of materials has been published that will certainly interest specialists of various scientists.
