QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026. NUBiP of Ukraine strengthens its position among the leading universities in Europe

QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026 evaluates European universities by a set of indicators that reflect their academic reputation, research quality, graduate employment, learning conditions, level of internationalization and contribution to sustainable development. In 2026, the ranking includes 958 European universities, 58 of them from Ukraine, which provides a representative comparison of the positions of NUBiP of Ukraine in the national and European academic environment.


The ranking methodology is based on a combination of university statistics, Scopus bibliometric indicators, and global surveys of the academic community and employers. The integral result is formed based on a number of indicators, each of which has its own weight in the final rating.


National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine belongs to the group of universities with very high research Intensity and ranks 651-700 among European universities and 89th in Eastern Europe. Among the strengths are academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty Student Ratio, International Research Network, Sustainability, where the university receives higher values of indicator points compared to the average positions of many institutions in the region.


The broad international community is involved in the rating formation: more than 1.5 million academic nominations and 520 thousand employer nominations, which emphasizes the global nature of assessment and recognition of the role of universities in economic development. The active participation of NUBiP of Ukraine in research projects, international consortia and professional networks contributes to strengthening its reputation among universities of agricultural, natural and life sciences in Europe.


The indicators obtained create the basis for further improving the University's position in the European rankings by increasing publication activity, expanding participation in international research networks and increasing academic mobility of students and lecturers. Strategic priorities are the development of sustainable education, green economy, biotechnology, food security and nature management, which is the basis of the European scientific and educational space.


National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine is one of the flagships of Ukrainian agricultural and environmental higher education, integrating into the European space through participation in international programs, partnerships and ratings. Positioning in the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026 enhances the University's ability to attract international students, faculty and investors, as well as develop joint educational programs and research with leading EU universities.


Improving the indicators of the International Research Network, Sustainability and Employment Outcomes opens up additional opportunities for NUBiP of Ukraine to participate in Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and other European initiatives. The university will strengthen its work to increase the share of international students, expand double degree programs and implement joint research projects.
