America House is pleased to host a special session of the U.S. Embassy’s American Studies Club that honors the 51st anniversary of the assassination and death of Martin Luther King, Jr. Students and faculty of universities in Kyiv in any department are invited to attend. This week, Ray Castillo, the U.S. Embassy’s Press Attache, will lead you through a speech writing session based two of the greatest American speeches: Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address” and Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I have a Dream.” You’ll develop your writing skills, learn some history, and see how these speeches connect to American society today.
