In order of the Ministry of Higher Education of the USSR from 15.05.1951 in Kyiv Agricultural Institute was organized by the Faculty of Economics and Agriculture. In connection with the deepening of specialization students in autumn 1972 were created department of scientific organization of labor - with this significant date began the history of the department, which in 1995 was transformed into a modern direction.

The outstanding figure in the history department was well-known scientist and economist, its founder and the founder of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor G. A. Dionisio, who headed the department from 1972 to 1984. He was the first dean of the Faculty of Economics - from 1951 to 1960. During the period of work in high school it was prepared 34 candidates and 6 doctors. He was warded the Order "Badge of Honor" and four medals.

From 1984 to 1987, the Department was headed by Associate Professor Yaroslavsky Vasily Antonovich, who made significant contributions to research on issues of wages, features rental contract and work motivation.

In 1987 the head of the department elected Tereshchenko Viktor Kirillovich. His research and scholarly work aimed at developing the theory of systems of motivation, biosotsialnoyi concept of development strategy of social and labor relations.

Today the department - a fusion of experience balanced and ambitious youth. The department has three professors, five associate professors, two senior teachers, three assistants and three laboratory.
