James Brown Quaye: my feeling about my student life in NULES Ukraine

For four years I studied in NULES of Ukraine Agrobiological faculty.
It was all smooth and enjoying normal students’ life on campus until in my 3rd year I met the AGROCHEMICAL DEPARTMENT.

For me this isn’t just a department it was a family, there was something very unique about the lecturers and professors in this department. I felt loved, the lecturers and professors had a lot of time for students, for me they really got extra time for me, books I should have bought, I was given for free just to motivate me learn. It was very special to me. I really felt comfortable around them as though I am with my family. Prof Nadia Bordyuzha, wow what a woman she is, she had a lot of patience for me, I could just go to her office without prior notifications and she still had time to explain things to me.

This was amazing. She directed and guided me so well during my thesis.

Prof Anatoly Bikin is another man whom in-spite of his busy schedule was sooo friendly and had enough time for all students. The lab attendant, whom I owe her pizza outing , helped me during lab hours and advices me a lot and she likes sharing jokes with students( she’s always smiling) .

The first prof I encountered in the agrochemical Department, prof Lyudmila Yashchenko, for this prof I call her my Ukrainian mother. She made sure I learn, and I am prepared for the next class. She always said to me other Africans came here and they succeeded so yes I can also do it. She motivated me a lot, giving me a lot of confidence.

In general I can say without doubt that the agrochemical department is the best department in НУБиП Украина

I could sometimes share a cup of tea or coffee with the professors. This feeling they gave me meant a lot to me and it was always heart warming.

The lecturers really understand student problems and situations this made it easy for us to study very well.

A very big thank you to all the lecturers and professors of the AGROCHEMICAL DEPARTMENT and my group mates continuing their masters there I have really missed you all
