Rector of NUBiP of Ukraine and colleagues from South Korea discussed student exchange and Smart Farming technology
For the third time, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine, Mr. Lee Yang-goo, invited colleagues from the Gyeongsang National University to NUBiP of Ukraine: Dr. Soon-Ki KWON (former University Rector) and Dr. Hyeon Tae KIM. During the meeting it was agreed to sign the cooperation agreement between the universities. Stanislav Nikolayenko drew attention of the guests to the main directions of the University's educational and scientific work.
Dr. Soon-Ki KWON remembered that he learned that Ukraine was an agricultural country during geography lessons at school. He also mentioned that their university has significant experience of cooperation with large corporations. In particular, he noted that there is a laboratory studying the lighting of LED lamps at the Gyeongsang National University founded with the support of Samsung company.
Dr. Hyeon Tae KIM dwelled on his experience in founding Smart Farming laboratory. The laboratory was funded by the Government of Korea in 2017 with a validity of 10 years. Dr. Hyeon Tae KIM expressed his hopes for future cooperation and student exchange between universities.
