   The Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Economic Theory and Bioeconomy, the Department of Economic Theory of the Faculty of Agrarian Management of theNational University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine continue their scientific work.

   On November 19, join us in Brussels for an in-person workshop exploring Markets Outlook – What the Numbers Say. This event will delve into critical insights about market dynamics and future challenges. Agenda Highlights:Panel 1: Setting the Scene
   Tassos Haniotis (ForumforAg Adviser on Sustainable Productivity) – The blissful linearity of market outlook and the nonlinear nature of their uncertain prospects. John Baffes (World Bank) – Food inflation: Is this time different? Petr Havlik (IIASA) – Can we have the fuel and eat it? Land use pressures and sustainability questions. Panel 2: Addressing challenges and policy implications. Building on the insights from the first panel, this discussion will focus on the emerging challenges and their relevance to policy-making.

   Register for our Regional Forum in Poland & celebrate soil sustainability with the Land and Soil Management Award.
   Throughout the year, the Forum for the Future of Agriculture organises regional conferences and online events to discuss agriculture and the environment at a national level across Europe. On Wednesday, November 27, 2024 we will co-organise our regional event with "Polska Federacja Rolna" at the Centrum Prasowe Foksal.
   With the participation, among others, of Czesław Siekierski, Polish Minister for Agriculture, we will focus, on the reform of the CAP with the soon to be announced vision for agriculture to be presented by the new College, and of climate change and food security as one of the priorities of the forthcoming Polish presidency; as well as on importance of soil and the place of innovation to deliver these targets. The meeting will take place in person, and will be translated in English and Polish. Land and Soil Management Award 2024/2025 In alignment with our commitment to soil sustainability, we are proud to spotlight the Land and Soil Management Award at this year’s regional forum. This award celebrates individuals, farmers, and organizations that implement groundbreaking practices to address soil degradation, erosion, biodiversity loss, and other critical soil challenges in Europe and extended territories.
   Eligibility: Open to farmers, landowners, land managers, and collaborative groups working on soil conservation projects, either independently or with institutions and private companies based in Europe.
   Why Apply? The winning project receives €5,000 and is recognized at the European level for advancing sustainable farming practices. This distinction also serves as an inspiration for other farmers and land managers to pursue sustainable practices. Application Period: Applications are now open until January 31, 2025. The Land and Soil Management Award will be presented again at the next Forum for the Future of Agriculture that will happen on April 1, 2025.
