NUBiP of Ukraine demonstrates stability in the global academic space: results of the World University Rankings by Subject 2026

On January 21, 2026, NUBIP of Ukraine received updated results in the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026, retaining its positions in five subject areas: Business and Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences and Social Sciences. The indicators published show the constant presence of the University in the global academic space and a consistent movement towards deepening European integration in education and science.


THE WORLD University Rankings by Subject 2026 subject tables are formed on the basis of 18 indicators combined into five key ones:

  • Teaching

  • Research Environment

  • Research Quality

  • International Outlook

  • Industry.

For each subject area, the weighting coefficients of these indicators are adjusted taking into account the specifics of the discipline, which provides a more accurate correct reflection of the real quality of teaching, research and international cooperation.


According to the results of THE Subject Ranking 2026, NUBiP of Ukraine is represented in five subject areas, which reflects the multidisciplinary nature of the university and its role in the development of technical, economic, social and life sciences. The ranges obtained confirm the stable presence of the University in the global ranking field and the growth of its visibility among research universities around the world.


• Business and Economics - 1001+, certifies the development of economic programs focused on agricultural business, natural resource management and financing of sustainable development.
• Computer Science - 1001+, reflects the potential of the University in information technology, digital transformation of the agricultural sector and cybernetics.
• ​Engineering - 1251+, shows the University's contribution to the training of engineers for the agricultural, environmental and energy industries.
• Life Sciences - 1001+, reflects the scientific component in life sciences.
• ​Social Sciences - 1001+, demonstrates the University's presence in the global humanitarian science community and the development of research on public administration, law and rural sociology.


Among the key prospects for further strengthening of positions are the development of English language educational programs, expansion of joint master's and PhD programs with EU universities, as well as increasing publication activity in highly rated scientific publications. Special emphasis can be placed on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of Life Sciences, Engineering and Social Sciences, which is a priority of modern European scientific policies.
