The academic mobility program has proven that I can do much more than I ever imagined before

In 2025, I had an incredible opportunity to go to Austria under the academic mobility program, to the city of Wiener Neustadt, where I studied at the FHWN University (Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt) at the faculty of business under the Business Consultancy International program.

Frankly — this academic exchange experience is one of the best in my life. During my studies, I studied such subjects as «Academic Skills», «Corporate Finance II», «Corporate Governance & Business Ethics», «Statistics for Business and Economics», «Strategic Management & Corporate Planning». Most of all, I was interested in the subject «Corporate Finance», because at my native university I study under the educational program «Corporate Finance». I was very interested to learn the view on corporate finance at a European University, what kind of approaches are used to study the problems of their functioning and what they focus on. This gave me a deeper understanding of the subject and even more motivation to develop in this area.

The training was Interactive: we constantly worked in groups, carried out joint projects, and presented research results. Group work was an integral part of every course. At first, it was a bit exciting to work in international teams, but this is what helped me improve my communication skills, learn to express my thoughts clearly in English and find a common language with students from different countries.

Of course, it was scary at first. I understood that I was going to another country, I would study in a different language, in a new environment. But after a few weeks, I felt confident and the language barrier gradually disappeared.

I was very impressed with the atmosphere at the University. The instructors were open, friendly and always met me halfway to help. The material was explained clearly, classes were often held in an active format, there were many discussions and practical cases.

In addition to studying, for exchange students the university organized many interesting events. We were climbing to the top of the Alps — it was an incredible moment that I will remember forever. We also visited a chocolate factory, walked around Christmas Vienna — the atmosphere was simply fabulous. Such programs help not only to gain new knowledge and learning experience, but also to get to know the host country better and make friends with students from different parts of the world.

In general, Austria is love at first sight. Here people know the value of order and at the same time are always ready to sincerely smile and help. My environment there has become a real treasure: I have met so many deep people that we still communicate.

The greatest victory is realizing that I am capable of coping with any test of fate outside my comfort zone. This experience has become my inner foundation. The mobility program has proven that I can do much more than I ever imagined before.

I sincerely advise every student to take this step. Academic mobility is much more than just lectures at another university. This is a path to self-discovery, new horizons of acquaintances, and that inner core that is tempered only on the road. Such an experience does not go away — it forever becomes part of your personal strength.
