The department of international relations and social sciences held a professional discussion on Ukraine's relations with the European Union in the context of the transformation of the international paradigm
On June 19, 2024, in online mode within the framework of project "Ukraine-EU: history, realities and prospects" the department of international relations and social sciencesof the faculty of humanities and pedagogyof the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, and the Euroclub History EU organized and conducted hte All-Ukrainian scientific and practical webinar "EU-Ukraine relations: transformation of the international paradigm". The webinar was joined by friends and partners of the project from educational institutions in Kyiv, Mykolayiv, Cherkasy. The webinar was co-organized by Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, National Technical University "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute after Ihor Sikorsky", Cherkasy National University after Bohdan Khmelnytsky, National Aviation University, as well as Euroclub project partners: "Euro Nation", "Euro Lafe", "Nazustrich (Towards)".
The webinar was moderated by an associate professor of the department of international relations and social sciencesof NULES of Ukraine Lyudmyla Radchenko, who opened its work. The manager of the department of international relations and social sciences ofNULES of Ukraine Viktoria Khvistaddressed the participants with a welcoming speech. She set the pace of work, focused on the history and cooperation between the EU and Ukraine, and wished fruitful work.
Her speech on the topic "EU sanctions policy as a means of preventing and countering conflict situations" made Natalia Shevchenko, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of the department of international relations and social Sciencesof NULES of Ukraine, co-coordinator of the area "Online events of the NGO Progressilni" addressing to the participants of the webinar. The current topic allowed young people to answer a number of questions that were clear at the beginning of the full-scale reconstruction and arose today.
The presentation by Kateryna Kostyuk, student of the specialty "Finance, banking and insurance" ofNULES of Ukraine was interesting and informative. She shared her impressions of her stay in Poland and Lithuania under the Erasmus + program, drew attention to the conditions for financing academic mobility, and the specifics of studying in these EU countries.
A participant of the European School, a graduate student of the department of international relationsof NULES of Ukraine Yevhenia Shevtsova, informed the audience in a meaningful, step-by-step manner the terms, features, cost of training, and living in Estonia. She also spoke about the peculiarities of studying in Estonia as a European silicon valley.
During the webinar, attention was also drawn to EU institutions. Anastasia Ustenko, student of Boyarsky professional collegeof NULES of Ukraine spoke about the emergence of the main EU bodies, focused special attention on the EU Council, its tasks, countries and leaders. Her presentation impressed with its brightness and sophistication.
Olexandr Stepanchenko, student of Boyarsky professional collegeof NULES of Ukraine in his report focused on a brief description of the 27 commissioners of the European Commission. He noted that knowledge of EU institutions is important and relevant for young people today.
The final chord of the webinar was watching a short video "War of values", ofEuroclub "Towards", whose coordinator is Nina Sibil. She said that the video was prepared and implemented as part of the 2023 project by the EU delegation to Ukraine.
Well-chosen name. Well-revealed values. The video shows not only "I", it is about caring, about school, relatives, food, mother, about the house in which the rocket arrived, about independence and preparation for the defense of Ukraine, about humanity, kindness, freedom, about independent decision-making, about beauty, harmony and maintaining balance during the"storm on the street".
So, diversity of All-Ukrainian scientific and practical webinar provided an opportunity to diversify and deepen knowledge about sanctions, institutions, and existing EU programs. In super-heavy conditions, with constant power outages, the webinar once again emphasized the desire to set goals and confidently step forward despite obstacles.
