Department of World Agriculture and Foreign Economic Affairs, faculty of the Agricultural Management was created in 8 April 1992 in order to prepare specialists in the field of foreign trade activities for the agricultural sector of Ukraine.

The founder of the department and its head from 1992 till 2006 and from September 2011 is corresponding member of NAAN Ukraine, doctor of economic sciences, professor, Honored Scientist of Ukraine V.P. Galushko. From 2006 till June 2011 served as head of the department - PhD, associate professor Dibrova Larisa Vasilivna. Department provides training activities with the 32 employees including 2 professors, doctors, 20 candidates (including 16 associate professors, 2 senior teacher and 3 assistants), 1 senior assistant teacher without degree and 2 senior laboratory. In the department for many years diligently working: PhD, Associate Professor Beregovij V.K., Dibrova L.V., Kovtun A.A., Krop P.B., Sidorenko S.V., Artysh V.I. Kostyuk O.D., Ibatullin M.I., Kuzmenko S.V., Faychuk O.M. Mogilnik L.P., Holomsha N.E., PhD, Assistant Kushnir I.G., and Senior Lecturer Yastreb M.P., Mishchenko I.A. For many years, since the founding of the department coordinator and organizer of the methodological work and computer support the learning process provides the senior analyst Zasyekina L.Y. and Lavrenyuk T.V.

Professor - teaching staff provides training in the fields of "Management" and "Business and Entrepreneurship" full-time and part-time study in the context of such specialties "Management of Foreign Economic Relations," "Management" and "Administrative Management". According to specialties graduates receive qualification "bachelor", "Master."

Department provides training of highly qualified personnel through postgraduate and doctoral studies. Train doctors and PhDs from the specialties: 08.00.03. - "Economics and Management of National Economy", 08.00.04 .- "Economics and Business Management (by economic activity." Currently, the department traines 18 postgraduate studentds. Protected 5 doctoral and 25 candidate theses.

Experts of the department teaches these disciplines: systems theory, economics of world agriculture, International Economics, International Economic Relations, Principles of foreign trade, foreign marketing activities, international management, organization and technology of foreign economic operations, International Management, Business Protocol and Negotiation, International economic activity of Ukraine, Business game "Business management", Teaching of Foreign Economic Management, Quantitative Methods in Economics, Project Management, International agribusiness, Introduction to scientific work, world agriculture and food resources, quantitative methods for decision making.

Much attention department pays for preparation and publication of educational literature. The main directions of research of the department are: 1. study of agricultural product markets in Ukraine and worldwide; 2. solving problems of economic relations associated with the transformation of agriculture in Ukraine a market economy; 3. examine issues related to the formation of foreign policy of Ukraine and agricultural areas of reform according to the norms and principles of GATT / WTO; 4. research issues concerning the management of quality agro-food products in Ukraine in a globalizing world economy and the problems associated with the formation of land market in Ukraine. Department of World Agriculture and Foreign Economic Affairs cooperates with colleges and institutes of NUOLES of Ukraine, which held lectures and workshops. Members of the department take part in state examination boards of various scientific institutions of the university. The department staff is actively working with Iowa State University and Louisiana and Pennsylvania (USA) University. Humboldt in Berlin, agricultural institutes and Vayyenshtefan Anhalt (Germany), Ghent University (Belgium) for mutual learning agrarian sciences system, adaptation of curricula and programs.


Education

Training work is provided by 32 members of the department, including 3 professors, doctors, 18 candidates (including 10 associate professors, 2 senior teachers and 6 assistants), 9 assistants without a degree and 2 senior laboratory.

Research


The main directions of research in the department is to study the agricultural product markets in Ukraine and the world, solving problems of economic relations associated with the transformation of agriculture in Ukraine a market economy, the study of issues related to the formation of foreign policy AIC Ukraine and ways of its reformation in accordance with the norms and principles of GATT / WTO study issues concerning the management of quality agro-food products in Ukraine in a globalizing world economy and the problems associated with the formation of land market in Ukraine.
