Involvement of young people into scientific activity is currently of great importance in connection with the need to restore and develop the nation's potential at all levels to increase the knowledge-intensive component in the process of reproduction within the framework of post-war reconstruction. The Production and Investment Management Department in cooperation with the Humanities and Pedagogical Faculty of NULES of Ukraine, has been holding the conference "The Role of Youth in the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Ukraine" for seven years in a row and is involving more and more young people to participate in it. Many of those who participated in the work of the conference earlier have already graduated from the university and are growing professionally in various fields: they devoted themselves to scientific and pedagogical activities, carry out practical activities, joined the defense of our Motherland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or represent our country, the university and the department abroad, working and living there.

On April 19, 2023, students of the Faculty of Agrarian Management and the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy of all levels of higher education took part in the VII International Conference "The Role of Youth in the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Ukraine". Young scientists of the university, invited practitioners and guests also joined the work of the conference. The organizational committee included partners from Poland, Israel and Italy.

The conference was opened by Lidiia Shynkaruk, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, professor and founder of the Production and Investment Management Department. First of all, she thanked the military, who bravely defend our land, for the opportunity to hold the conference. According to Lidiia Shynkaruk, the future of Ukraine lies with the youth. Lidiia Shynkaruk also said a few words about the importance of the agricultural sector for the development of Ukraine.

After thanking the co-organizers of the conference, Lidiia Shynkaruk handed over the floor for congratulation to Volodymyr Otchenashko, the head of the research department of the NULES of Ukraine, who, on behalf of the rector of NULES of Ukraine, academician Stanislav Nikolaienko, congratulated those present and noted that today serious tasks are facing not only the soldiers, but the academic community. Volodymyr Otchenashko noted that although a large part of agricultural land in Ukraine is mined or contaminated with harmful chemicals, Ukraine continues to have a powerful agricultural sector. At the same time, competition is constantly increasing on global markets. In such conditions, it is necessary to work on the implementation of the principles of the European green course and the creation of new product supply chains to world markets.

Lidiia Shynkaruk thanked for the greetings and added that, in general, economic war is also a very dangerous phenomenon, because the enemy is invisible.

Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy, Ph.D., Associate Professor Inna Savytska, addressing the participants of the conference, thanked her colleagues - Lidiia Shynkaruk, Maryna Dielini and Iryna Sopivnyk for the fact that, under any challenges and under any conditions, they always support the youth and hold an annual conference. Inna Savytska reminded that Ukrainians are an invincible nation, and that is why they are able to work and engage in science even in difficult periods of history.

Leonid Chernokhatov, a practitioner and owner of a farm located on the border of the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, gave an interesting speech. In his speech, he said a few words about the difficulties faced by agrarians today, but emphasized the fact that, despite everything, it is currently possible to offer students a decent level of wages.

Lidia Shynkaruk thanked and called for further communication regarding the employment of creative graduates who can become successful managers in the future.

Next, the rights to moderate the conference were transferred to Rostyslav Kovalenko, a third-year student of the professionally oriented group of the Production and Investment Management Department, who thanked for the trust and immediately got down to work, informing those present about the schedule of speeches and discussions.

Yaroslav Lytvynchuk, who graduated from the Faculty of Agrarian Management in 2019 and is now a successful manager, gave a speech first. He talked about his experience of professional growth and shared his impressions of the implementation of his own investment projects. Yaroslav Lytvynchuk willingly answered all the questions that were asked to him after the report, and urged to be patient, because success does not come immediately - it takes time and perseverance.

Student Victoria Sovailo spoke about digital technologies in agricultural business management. She noted the advantages of the agrichain concept for remote management in agriculture.

Serhiy Dodachko's report on the export of honey from Ukraine was interesting and relevant. As you know, Ukrainian honey is of high quality and is valued in the world.

The report of Anna Krasnoshtan, a third-year student of the Faculty of Agrarian Management, was distinguished by a combination of economic and cultural-ethnographic components. The student managed to professionally characterize the investment attractiveness of her native region of Krolevechyna, located in the northern part of Sumy region, from an economic point of view having interested the listeners with a story about cultural sights and legends. Anna Krasnoshtan demonstrated her ability to convince those present about the development prospects of her region. Undoubtedly, in the future, she will be able to use such skills in practice during business negotiations with potential investors.

Later, the moderator of the conference from the Faculty of Agrarian Management, Rostyslav Kovalenko, handed over the rights of conducting the conference to the students of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy, Victoria Budegai and Oleksandr Alekseiev, who immediately announced Ivan Kushnirenko's report on deviations in the behavior of modern youth.

The reports of students of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy were prepared on topics that are relevant in the period of recovery of Ukraine, when, on the one hand, youth, young children and young families need support, and on the other hand, it is necessary to solve the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons. So, Oksana Bilokin spoke about the importance of emotional intelligence in modern conditions, Mariia Vovchenko - about the impact of social institutions on the moral and psychological state of children, Andriy Galanin - about work with gambling addicts, and Lyudmila Prysiazhniuk - about the impact of music therapy on students' sense of happiness. It was also about the problems of young families in the conditions of war - this was reported by student Valeriia Kyryk.

In general, the conference "The role of youth in the development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine", which has already become traditional, was held at a high scientific level. At the same time, the friendly and informal atmosphere that prevailed during the work contributed to the active discussions that arose after the presentations and allowed to clarify various aspects of the problems that need to be solved.

We would like to thank the organizers of the conference - the teams of the Production and Investment Management Department of the Faculty of Agrarian Management and the Department of Social Work and Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy of the NULES of Ukraine for fruitful long-term cooperation in the scientific and pedagogical field and wish them further success, and to the students who participated in the event today - professional growth and development.

With faith in Victory! Glory Ukraine!
