Tothe 298th anniversary of I. Kant on the base of the department of philosophy and international communication of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy of NULES of Ukraine a scientific and methodological seminar  "II Kant readings" (online) was held.

  I. Kant left behind a significant scientific and philosophical legacy, which reflected his incredibly wide range of interests. He lectured and published papers on physics, mathematics, and geography; wrote articles on volcanic eruptions, the nature of winds, tides, the origin of the solar system and the Earth; and even taught fortification and pyrotechnics for a while. But the main guide of his life was philosophy.
The dean of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy addressed the participants of the seminar with a welcoming speech Inna Savytska and acting head of the department of philosophy and international communication Valentyna Kultenko.

The scientific and methodological seminar was attended by 54 participants-students and postgraduates from different faculties of NULES of Ukraine. The event was moderated by a post graduate student of the department of philosophy and international communication Viktoria Shekhovtsova-Buryanova.

A 1st-year student of the specialty "International economics" Natalia Medvedska started reading with a performance "Subcritical and critical periods in the works of I. Kant".

In his report "Interesting facts from the life of Immanuel Kant" 1st year students of the specialty "Finance, banking and insurance", faculty of economics, Anastasia Bronishevska and Lilia Sidneva presented interesting cases from the life of an outstanding philosopher.

In his report "Features of I. Kant's philosophical views on the state" the 3rd year student, specialty "International relations", faculty of humanities and pedagogy Mykhailo-Petro Onyshko considered what the ideal state should be for I. Kant.

In his report "The problem of man and freedom in the philosophical heritage of I. Kant"  the 3rd year students, specialty "International relations", faculty of humanities and pedagogy Alina Melnyk, Kateryna Bartovshchuk and Luiza Prokhorova considered the peculiarities of the interpretation of freedom.

An interesting and relevant report "Philosophical justification of the world by I Kant" was presented by a 3rd-year student, specialty "International relations", faculty of humanities and pedagogy, Anastasia Teslyuk.

Report on the topic "Ethics and aesthetics in the philosophy of I. Kant" was presented by a 1st-year student of the faculty of economics Anna Petryk.

Illya Bondarchuk, a 3rd-year student of the specialty "International relations", faculty of humanities and pedagogy, presented the topic "Immanuel Kant's contribution to the development of rolitic philosophy".

After the presentation of the reports, a discussion was held about the relevance of Kant's views on modernity, in particular on this situation in our country during the war. The discussion was attended by both students of our university and colleagues from the M.P. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University, in particular, a post-graduate student of the department of history and philosophy of history Denys Buryanov. We are thankful to our colleagues for their attention to our event!
During the scientific and practical seminar, it became clear that the opinions of each participant in the discussion complement each other. Students plunged into the world of I. Kant and looked at topical issues of philosophy through the eyes of the Konigsberg thinker himself.

Immanuel Kant is a thinker who became the second genius of European philosophy after Plato. Almost all varieties of modern philosophizing somehow go back to I. Kant. His ideas can be transformed, but they continue to live on.
