Innovation in action: students and scientific and pedagogical workers of the Copilot project at the International Industrial Forum-2026

The International Industrial Forum is the largest industrial exhibition in Ukraine, which has been included in the list of leading world industrial exhibitions officially recognized by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) since 2005. Every year, leading enterprises from Ukraine and abroad gather here to showcase the latest technologies in metalworking, welding, production automation, robotics, and many other areas. For students studying technical specialties, this is a unique opportunity to see the industry not in a textbook, but in real life.

The participants were particularly interested in the stands of companies demonstrating robotic welding systems, in particular, an industrial manipulator from BOT UA with a laser cutting module, as well as equipment from REVELD and other manufacturers. Students had the opportunity not only to observe the operation of machines but also to communicate directly with engineers and company representatives, ask questions, and receive answers from industry practitioners.

Attending the International Industrial Forum proved to be an extremely effective practical step in implementing the objectives of the Copilot project – bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs, preparing students for the challenges of the clean technology and sustainable energy markets, and fostering entrepreneurial thinking among the younger generation. Live communication with representatives of enterprises, demonstrations of state-of-the-art equipment, and acquaintance with facial recognition systems, robotic arms, and CNC machines – all this gives the educational process real meaning. Students see what competencies are truly valued in the manufacturing sector and get a direct idea of career opportunities. Participation in the forum gave the project participants much more than just an introduction to technology. It broadened the students' ideas about possible career paths: from working at manufacturing enterprises to founding their own technological startup. Getting to know innovative industrial parks and company presentations opened up the prospect of future employment in the rapidly growing industrial technology sector for young people.

For teachers, participation in such events is no less important: it allows them to update their curricula in line with current industry requirements, establish contacts with potential employers and partners, and introduce new teaching approaches based on real production cases. It is this connection between education and practice that is at the heart of the Copilot project's mission.

Of particular value was the networking: students and teachers met specialists from different companies, exchanged contacts, and initiated cooperation between educational institutions and representatives of the industrial business. Such informal meetings often lead to internships, partnership programs, and joint research projects.

Students met each new stand with lively interest and enthusiasm. The moments when company representatives directly demonstrated the equipment's operation, inviting those who wanted to try controlling robotic systems or get acquainted with the principles of sensor technologies, were especially vivid. It was clear that young people were not only watching, but also immersed themselves, asking questions, discussing - this is how real professional interest is born.

The setting of a large industrial forum, where dozens of stands with a wide variety of technologies stand side by side, clearly demonstrates the scale and diversity of modern industry. For many students, this was the first such event in their educational life - and, according to reviews, it made an unforgettable impression and gave a powerful impetus for further learning and self-development.

Visiting the International Industrial Forum in 2026 became an important practical component of the Copilot project's implementation. It clearly confirmed that education that goes beyond the classroom and engages with a living industrial environment produces much deeper, longer-lasting results. Students returned from the forum not only with new knowledge about technology but also with an expanded vision of their own future and an understanding of where and how they can apply their potential. This is precisely the change the Copilot project seeks to bring about: transforming learning into a springboard for real, modern, and effective professional activity.

Міжнародний промисловий форум – найбільша промислова виставка України, яка з 2005 року входить до переліку провідних світових промислових виставок, офіційно визнаних Всесвітньою асоціацією виставкової індустрії (UFI). Щороку тут збираються провідні підприємства з України та з-за кордону, щоб представити найновіші технології в галузі металообробки, зварювання, автоматизації виробництва, робототехніки та багатьох інших напрямів. Для студентів, які навчаються за технічними спеціальностями, це унікальна можливість побачити промисловість не у підручнику, а в реальному вимірі.

Особливий інтерес учасників викликали стенди компаній, що демонстрували роботизовані зварювальні системи, зокрема промисловий маніпулятор від компанії BOT UA з лазерним різальним модулем, а також обладнання від РЕВЕЛД та інших виробників. Студенти мали змогу не лише спостерігати за роботою машин, а й спілкуватися безпосередньо з інженерами та представниками компаній, ставити запитання й отримувати відповіді від практиків галузі.

Відвідування Міжнародного промислового форуму виявилося надзвичайно ефективним практичним кроком у реалізації завдань проекту Copilot – подолання розриву між академічними знаннями та реальними потребами індустрії, підготовка студентів до викликів ринку чистих технологій та сталої енергетики, а також виховання підприємницького мислення у молодого покоління. Живе спілкування з представниками підприємств, демонстрація найсучаснішого обладнання, знайомство з системами розпізнавання обличчя, роботизованими рукавами та ЧПК-верстатами — усе це наповнює освітній процес реальним змістом. Студенти бачать, які компетенції справді цінуються у виробничому секторі, та отримують безпосереднє уявлення про кар'єрні можливості.

Участь у форумі дала учасникам проєкту значно більше, ніж просте ознайомлення з технікою. Вона розширила уявлення студентів про можливі шляхи побудови кар'єри: від роботи на виробничих підприємствах до заснування власного технологічного стартапу. Знайомство з інноваційними індустріальними парками та презентаціями компаній відкрило перед молоддю перспективу майбутньої зайнятості у стрімко зростаючому секторі промислових технологій.

Для викладачів участь у подібних заходах не менш важлива: вона дозволяє актуалізувати навчальні програми відповідно до поточних вимог індустрії, налагоджувати контакти з потенційними роботодавцями та партнерами, а також запроваджувати нові підходи до викладання, засновані на реальних виробничих кейсах. Саме такий зв'язок між освітою та практикою є серцевиною місії проєкту Copilot.

Окремою цінністю стало формування мережевих зв'язків: студенти та викладачі познайомилися з фахівцями з різних компаній, обмінялися контактами та започаткували співпрацю між освітніми закладами та представниками промислового бізнесу. Такі неформальні зустрічі нерідко стають початком стажувань, партнерських програм і спільних дослідницьких проєктів.

Студенти зустрічали кожен новий стенд з жвавим інтересом і захопленням. Особливо живими вийшли моменти, коли представники компаній безпосередньо демонстрували роботу обладнання, запрошуючи охочих спробувати керувати роботизованими системами або ознайомитися з принципами дії сенсорних технологій. Видно було, що молодь не лише дивилася, а й занурювалася, ставила запитання, дискутувала – саме так народжується справжній професійний інтерес.

Обстановка великого промислового форуму, де поруч стоять десятки стендів із найрізноманітнішими технологіями, наочно демонструє масштаб і різноманітність сучасної індустрії. Для багатьох студентів це була перша подібна подія в їхньому навчальному житті – і, за відгуками, вона справила незабутнє враження та дала потужний поштовх для подальшого навчання й саморозвитку.

Відвідування Міжнародного промислового форуму 2026 року стало важливою практичною складовою реалізації проєкту Copilot. Воно наочно підтвердило, що освіта, яка виходить за межі аудиторії й взаємодіє з живим промисловим середовищем, дає значно глибші та триваліші результати. Студенти повернулися з форуму не лише з новими знаннями про технології, а й із розширеним баченням власного майбутнього та розумінням того, де і як вони можуть застосувати свій потенціал. Саме це і є тією зміною, яку прагне здійснити проєкт Copilot: перетворити навчання на трамплін до реальної, сучасної та ефективної фахової діяльності.
