On November 12, 2nd year and 1st year students of the shortened term, as part of their studies under the Copilot program, visited the Institute of Mechanics and Automation of Agro-Industrial Production of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences.

Professor G.A. Golub briefly told about the history of the institute.

Further, Doctor of Technical Sciences S.P. Stepanenko acquainted students with the developments of the Institute, which are manufactured by various factories of Ukraine.

Later, Doctor of Technical Sciences S.P. Stepanenko acquainted students with the operation of an experimental pneumatic seed separator, which separates seeds by grain density.

One of the main goals of the visit was to get acquainted with the operation of the institute's heating system, which runs on straw.

This heating system was once developed by Professor G.A. Golub, when he worked earlier at this institute.
The students also got acquainted with the conditions for storing straw in a closed warehouse.
Doctor of Technical Sciences S.P. Stepanenko acquainted students with the work of an artificial intelligence-based program, which allows you to assess the quality of grain material based on a photo from a mobile phone.

The visit to the institute ended with a joint photo of students in the institute's museum.

Later, the students visited a machine-building plant, where drawings are directly turned into products. First of all, Professor G.A. Golub demonstrated to the students the operation of a wood-fired heating boiler, which provides rapid heating of the air in the workshop, and, accordingly, comfortable working conditions for employees in winter.

After that, Professor G.A. Golub demonstrated to students the process of converting drawings into plant products.

An employee of the plant Ivan Nikolaevich acquainted the students with the work of the design bureau of the plant, the work of laser machines and other structural units.

Ivan Mykolayovych acquainted the students with the work of the assembly shop and the work of equipment for powder coating.

Professor G.A. Golub and students expressed their gratitude to the Director of the Institute, Academician V.V. Adamchuk and the Director of the Plant I.V. Dubko and the staff of these institutions for the opportunity to visit interesting and informative objects.
