AT THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY ACAD M.F. THERE WAS A MEETING WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MANUFACTURER BIO-RAD

 Department of Biochemistry named after Acad. M.F. On September 11, 2024, a meeting was organized with official representatives of the manufacturer Bio-Rad Inc. (USA) in Ukraine - BIONICS LAB LLC.

The staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and students were invited to the meeting.

The company's specialists introduced the audience to modern solutions for nucleic acid amplification - the latest PTC Tempo 96 thermal cycler model, and also presented a successful solution for gel/blot visualization - the GelDoc Go system.

 

On the basis of the presented material, the representatives of the company held a quiz, where the students took an active part and won the main prize.

In addition, all those interested had the opportunity to get to know the gel documentation system better, visualize a demonstration sample with their own hands, and also learn about the basics of working in special software for analyzing the obtained image.

At the end of the demonstration, all interested parties received certificates of familiarization with the devices and understanding of the principles of working with them.

The meeting with representatives of BIONICS LAB LLC continued with an introduction to the department's laboratories. Educational laboratories and an interdepartmental educational and scientific laboratory of veterinary diagnostic research were presented.
