History
At the same time as the department of hydrobiology and ichtiology there was the department of zoology and natural anatomy, created in 1921 at the Kiev Veterinary and Zootechnical Institute, and Professor B.A.Dombrovsky was taken aback.
Born in 1934 It was transformed at the Department of Zoology and Darwinism, which was entrusted to Associate Professor M.M. Sinitsky. A zoological museum was created at the department.
After the organization of the Kiev Forestry and Podar Institute, the Department of Zoology and Entomology was transferred to Golosiyevo, where Professor A.G. Lebedev was appointed. The zoological museum was also transferred to the Lisogospodarsky Institute. The museum is of primary character and of great practical importance for the development of the course of zoology and contemporary elementary disciplines.
During the Great German War, museum exhibits, entomological collections and laboratory materials were often destroyed or transported simultaneously from the Department of Zoology and Entomology to Kharkov, and then to Sverdlovsk, de on the rights of the faculty of the Sverdlovsk Rural Institute under the hour of evacuation, the Kiev Veterinary Institute.
Born in 1944 The Kiev Veterinary Institute was renovated, and in its warehouse - the Department of Zoology, which was headed initially by M.M. Sinitsky, and later by M.A. Kravchenko and A.Yu. Beznosenko.
After the organization of the Faculty of Health of Roslin in 1963. The Department of Zoology and External Entomology under the supervision of Professor M.M. Sinitsky has also moved to this level. Professor J.T. Pokoziy graduated this year. The main focus of the scientific research work of this breed at that time was the study of the ecological and pathological physiology of spiny and measles comas, mites, nematodes. Associate Professor A.G. Rudnev began working at the department.
The former department was reorganized under the Department of Phytopharmacology and Zoology, with Professor M.M. Dolya taking over.
After 1998 The name of the Department of Zoology was lost and it became known as the Department of Chemical and Biological Plant Protection.
In 2000 years, on the basis of the decision of the Economy for the National Agrarian University, by order of the rector No. 318 on September 13, 2000, the Department of Hydrobiology was created on the basis of the Faculty of Zoological Engineering Ichtiology. It has accumulated traditions, the achievements of predecessors from the departments of zoology and entomology, and little effort to form a new layer of scientists in the field of water bioresources and aquaculture.
In 2001, a decision was made to strengthen the new faculty of “Water Bioresources and Aquaculture”, to the structure of which the Department of Hydrobiology has already increased and in 2001 the Department of Global Zoology and Ichtiology.
In 2015, a decision was made to strengthen the block of zoological disciplines from the Department of External Zoology and Ichtiology (on the basis of which a new department was created - animal biology) and the department was consolidated hydrobiology and the block of ichtiological disciplines of the above-mentioned department with the design of a new structural subsection - the department of hydrobiology and ichtiology. Nina Vona is a structural member of the Faculty of Wildlife and Aquatic Bioresources.
