Questionnaire «Identification of skill gaps and needs for home renovation OSSs» in the framework of Project «Building Up Skills for Home Renovation One-Stop-Shops»
In Ukraine, over 50 respondents participated in a survey to identify skills gaps regarding the Home Renovation One-stop Shops
The majority of them belonged to the group of service recipients (46.2%) and organizations carrying out advisory activities (42.3%).

More than half of the respondents (55.8 %) expressed awareness of training programs for the repair and renovation of housing stock.

More than 40% indicated that there are gaps in existing training programs in this area.

Respondents were unanimous in their opinions on the usefulness of digital methods and modular learning systems in the process of acquiring the necessary skills. 86.5% of respondents answered “yes.


Among the skills that employees lack in terms of home renovation and repair, technical solutions (53.8%), project financing options (46.2%), and 32.7% were most often indicated.
According to the respondents, the regulatory framework for the relevant work is important (this point was indicated by 28.8% of respondents), as well as organizational aspects (26.9% of responses).

Regarding the regulatory framework for renovation projects, one of the comments emphasized the need to revise it in terms of requirements for achieving regulatory comfort indicators when renovating buildings damaged by the war.

State support for such training initiatives is needed to reach as many specialists as possible, given the huge amount of work to rebuild and modernize the housing stock in the near future.
In general, the analysis of the survey results will allow the development of effective training programs through adapted, innovative and technical solutions in the field of repair and renovation of the housing stock.
