Project objective: to improve educational training and learning for students and specialists in the agri-food sector of Ukraine in terms of sustainable development, welfare and digitalisation of livestock farming. Creation and operation of Lifelong Learning (LLL) Centres for practising specialists in the livestock sector with the aim of providing educational services in a consortium of higher education institutions of Ukraine and the European Union with the domestic business sector and representatives of the social and political spheres.
Project objectives:
Creation of the academic disciplines ‘Sustainable Animal Husbandry’, ‘Animal Welfare’ and ‘Precision Animal Husbandry’ for master's students in the agri-food sector of Ukraine's economy;
Creation of specialised courses for postgraduate training of livestock industry employees;
Updating of training for master's degree students using best practices from the European Union;
Development of new practices for cooperation between representatives of the manufacturing sector and universities on the basis of mutual benefit;
Improvement of the qualifications of scientific and teaching staff in the countries of the project consortium.
Project objectives:
To improve master's degree programmes in livestock production and processing technology through the joint development and implementation of innovative content on animal welfare and sustainable livestock production, the professional development of teaching staff and the introduction of innovative teaching methods.
Strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and the agricultural business sector through collaboration in practical training of students, lifelong learning and knowledge transfer methodologies to ensure the quality of education focused on the needs of livestock producers.
Establish four innovative centres of excellence for lifelong learning in Ukrainian higher education institutions, namely: sustainable cattle breeding and milk production, sustainable poultry farming, sustainable pig farming, and a centre for the transfer of information and knowledge for sustainable animal husbandry and animal welfare.
Promote dialogue with political and civil society organisations to ensure the successful implementation of animal welfare standards in Ukrainian legislation.
Promote national and international academic exchange through the introduction of physical and virtual student mobility.
