International Conference «Challenges of Modern Heat Power Engineering»: presentation of LIFE-CET-BUSHROSSs Project Results

On 19–20 November, the Educational and Research Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving at NUBiP of Ukraine hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Challenges of Modern Heat Power Engineering», dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of renowned Ukrainian researcher Professor Borys Draganov.

The event brought together representatives of research institutions, educational establishments, and leading energy companies from six countries. In total, the conference united more than 20 organizations working in the fields of heat power engineering, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.

Section meetings were held online on 20 November, enabling broader participation and fostering active international collaboration.

The team of the Academic and Research Institute of Energy, Automation and Energy Saving presented research results carried out within the international project LIFE23-CET-BUSHROSSs “Building up Skills for Home Renovation One-Stop Shops”.

During Section No. 2 “Energy-Saving Technologies in Energy Engineering”, the team comprising Ivanka Pandelieva-Dimova (Sofia Energy Centre, Bulgaria), Nina Nikolova (The Chamber of Installation Specialists in Bulgaria, CISB), Victor Kaplun, Svitlana Makarevych, Olena Shelimanova, and Ievgen Antypov (NUBiP of Ukraine) delivered the presentation “Results from research of local experience on the specific conditions and requirements for home renovation in Bulgaria and Ukraine”.

The speakers presented findings on the analysis of local experience as well as specific technical, organizational, and legal conditions that shape the process of residential building renovation in the two partner countries. These results constitute an important component of the LIFE-CET-BUSHROSSs Project and contribute to the development of modern approaches for expanding a network of one-stop shops supporting deep home renovation.

The conference served as a platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of current research outcomes, and strengthening international cooperation in the fields of energy efficiency and heat power engineering technologies.
