The survey of Project LIFE22-CET-NS4nZEBs was succssesfully completed
According to the calendar of the Project, a survey of 47 participants working in the field of renewable energy installations and energy-saving technologies in buildings, 3 employment centers and 3 consulting agencies and 10 vocational education providers was conducted. The purpose of the survey was to study the opinions, needs and expectations of companies and professionals working in the renewable energy market regarding the state of this market in Ukraine, as well as issues related to the efficiency and quality of installation and maintenance of RES systems in buildings.
The survey was conducted online, based on specially developed forms. In total, respondents from Kyiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Sumy, and Volyn regions took part in the survey. The questionnaire is dedicated to the review of the current state of energy consumption efficiency in the construction sector of Ukraine.


The questionnaire form contains questions related to 5 main areas:
1. Data on respondents
2. Interest and use of the latest/best RES technologies in buildings;
3. Measures to stimulate the qualitative development of the market;
4. The current state of the quality of RES technologies in buildings;
5. Level qualification of specialists.
Managers/contact persons of companies and organizations were contacted by telephone and e-mail to provide detailed information about the survey, its purpose and the objectives of the Project as a whole. After that, access to digital questionnaires was opened to them.


According to the results of the questionnaire, the majority of respondents believe that the most important measure necessary for the qualitative development of the RES and usage of energy-efficient technologies in buildings systems market in Ukraine is financial encouragement - more than 70% of the respondents gave this answer, and about 50% of the respondents believe that this requires continuous training of technical workers, holding events , which are aimed at raising their awareness and raising requirements for the energy efficiency of buildings.

According to the interviewees, the most important measure that could improve the quality of RES installations in Ukraine is the improvement of the qualifications of specialists, and the vast majority (about 90%) of the interviewees almost unanimously support equipment certification, as well as certified training of workers/installers/architects, as measures that can improve the quality of RES installations in Ukraine, which can update practices and training programs, through innovative and technical solutions in the field of electricity systems through the introduction of buildings with Nero Zero Energy and the gradual disappearance of the EU's dependence on fossil fuel imports.
