Scientific work
The department's research is aimed at developing energy-saving technologies for the production of livestock products of high biological value, their processing and storage; implementation of technological methods to increase the productivity of cattle.
Over the period of the department's existence, the staff has published more than 100 monographs, textbooks and manuals, 400 educational and methodological publications, more than 2000 scientific articles, including in scientific professional journals and included in the Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection, obtained more than 80 copyright certificates and patents, and published more than 150 recommendations, including 31 scientific, methodological and state programmes for the development of beef cattle breeding and 6 state herd books and catalogues.
Scientists of the department prepare Doctors of Philosophy in the speciality 204 «Technology of production and processing of livestock products» and Doctors of Science in the speciality 06.02.04 – “Technology of production of livestock products”.

The Department of Milk and Meat Production Technologies was awarded the Gold Medal of the XXII International Agro-Industrial Exhibition in the category of innovative developments in the field of agricultural science for the methods of breeding and selection of the Ukrainian beef cattle breed, its inbred factory type, and 6 factory lines.
