The teaching staff of the Department of International Relations and Social Sciences trains graduate students in the field of knowledge 03 "Humanities", specialty 032 "History and Archaeology". The Department of International Relations and Social Sciences is the base for applicants of higher education of the third (educational and scientific) level in the specialty 032 "History and Archeology"

The educational-scientific program (hereinafter - ONP) "History of Ukraine" for the training of doctors of philosophy in the specialty "History and Archeology" is implemented by the Department of International Relations and Social Sciences, which has significant experience in training specialists in the field of historical science. The Department of International Relations and Social Sciences, which is a subdivision of the Humanities and Pedagogical Faculty, has deep traditions. The reference point for the existence of the department within the walls of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine was the decision of the Academic Council of the University dated 01.09.2010 and the renaming on 1.06.2018. as well as the Department of Political Science and Sociology. The founder of the scientific school of agrarian historians was Leonid Yukhimovych Berenstein - doctor of historical sciences, professor, academician of the Academy of Historical Sciences. Since 1960, L.Yu. Berenstein was the scientific leader of the target program "Historical and social aspects of agrarian relations in Ukraine (since 1917)". During 1965-1990, 120 scientists from 18 agricultural and 3 polytechnic (Kyiv, Donetsk, Lviv) educational institutions took part in its implementation. In 1965-2010, 76 people defended their candidate's and doctoral dissertations on the subject of the target program.

According to the order of the Ministry of Education and Culture No. 590 of 30.05.2016 "On Licensing of Educational Activities at the Third Educational and Scientific Level", when the University received the right to carry out educational activities in the field of higher education at the third educational and scientific level, the department started training doctors of philosophy in the specialty 032 - "History and archeology".

The guarantor of the ONP is Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of International Relations and Social Sciences Strelets Vasyl Vasyliovych.

The right to enter the specialty 032 "History and archeology" is granted to graduates of higher education institutions of the OS "Master" and OKR "Specialist" of all specialties.

Citizens of other states may be enrolled on the basis of agreements between the university and ministries, scientific institutions and organizations, institutions of higher education of these states or in accordance with international and intergovernmental agreements.

The training of specialists in the specialty 032 "History and archeology" is carried out in scientific and educational laboratories of the NUBiP of Ukraine, which are equipped according to modern requirements.
