Research work
Innovation activity is carried out at the department in the following directions:
- development of modern methods of diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis of toxoplasmosis and non-ossification of various types of animals (Professor N. M. Soroka, associate professor M.V. Galat);
- development and improvement of methods of diagnosis and treatment of protozoal diseases of productive and exotic animals (Professor M.P. Prus, associate professors O.V. Semenko, I.Yu. Pashkevich and R.O. Slobodian);
- bionic concept of identification of biological micro and nanoobjects, preservation of animal health for parasitic diseases (Professor N. M. Soroka and associate professor R. A. Slobodian).
The department is preparing scientists of the highest qualification - PhD and doctors of science according to specialty 16.00.04 - veterinary pharmacology and toxicology.
Scientific research directions:
- Toxicology of non-protein nitrogen compounds
- Mycotoxicoses of animals
- Pharmacological evaluation of drugs that have immune stimulating and anti-inflammatory properties
- Toxicological evaluation of neonicotinoids
At the department functioning problem research laboratory of mycotoxicoses of animals. Based on materials of scientific research published over 500 scientific papers, received 24 patents for inventions, 4 doctoral and 23 PhD theses.
