The Council of Young Scientists of the Research Institute of Crop Production and Soil Science, Faculty of Agrobiology (hereinafter referred to as the Council) at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as NULES) is a permanent collegial, advisory and representative body established with the aim of:

- to promote scientific, innovative, inventive and other creative activities among students, postgraduate students and academic staff of the institute aged up to 35 (up to 40 for PhD holders and doctoral candidates) (hereinafter referred to as ‘Young Scientists’);

- protecting and realising their professional, intellectual, legal and socio-economic rights;

- promoting the results of the latest achievements in science, technology and education among young people to foster inter-university cooperation and the integration of the University’s Young Scientists into the international educational and scientific community.


The Council operates in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine ‘On Higher Education’ and ‘On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity’, other Ukrainian legislation, and the Statutes of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.
In its work, the Council is guided by the following principles:

- prioritising scientific research and innovation;

- equal rights for all Council members, self-governance and transparency in its work;

- independence from the influence of political, religious and civil society organisations;

- a close and organic link between research, education and innovation.
