The history of the Faculty

The history of the Faculty of Construction and Design begins in 1996, when on the basis of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization, in order to train specialists in the design and testing of agricultural machinery, a new specialty was opened - "Agricultural Machinery", which was later renamed "Agricultural Machinery".

In June 2001, by the decision of the Academic Council of the University, the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering was established. In 2003, it was renamed the Faculty of Construction and Design.

Since 2006, the faculty has been training specialists of the educational and qualification level "Master" in the specialty "Equipment of the forest complex". Due to the beginning of training of specialists in two specialties "Machinery and equipment of agricultural production" and "Equipment of the forest complex" in 2006 the faculty was renamed to design and engineering machinery and equipment of agriculture and forestry.

Since 2011, the faculty is called the design and engineering of machines and systems of nature. In 2015, the Faculty was joined by the direction of training "Construction" and the specialty "Industrial and Civil Engineering" and the faculty was again called construction and design.

During the existence of the faculty it was headed by: Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor V.O. Dubrovin (2001); Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor A.I. Okocha (2001-2003); Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor K.H. Lopatko (2003-2005); Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor V.B. Onyshchenko (2005-2010); Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor I.L. Rohovskyi (2010-2012); Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor O.A. Marus (2012-2015). Since March 2015, the Dean of the Faculty has been appointed Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Ruzhylо Z.V.
